We're back with another installment in our series detailing the remarkable transformation of Oleg Torbosov's townhouse as part of his savvy investment strategy—house flipping. Today, we'll delve into the extensive renovation of the staircase, a project that demanded significant time and meticulous attention. According to our designer, the staircase is undeniably one of the most pivotal elements that profoundly impacts residents' overall perception, thus warranting special consideration.
Artistic revival
The initial step involved concealing the black metal fasteners on the sides with skillful plasterwork. Subsequently, a towering new wall was erected to accommodate additional lighting fixtures, elevating the interior's perceived value. The pre-existing railings were artfully reworked, with glass retained only on the initial flight. Adorning the front wall are exquisite panels of luminous veneer, housing an art piece procured from a local sale at Ebarza. We take pride in supporting local artistry.
An extra cabinet
One window, offering a courtyard view, was discreetly veiled with wooden blinds, concealing decorative ferns within. To fully appreciate the aesthetics of the revamped staircase, one must traverse its steps and experience the transformation firsthand. The space beneath the stairs has been ingeniously converted into a cozy nook, ideally suited for an additional wardrobe.
Revamped dressing room
In the master bedroom, the initial dressing room made way for unremarkable white cabinets with sliding doors—a situation that called for immediate rectification. The conspicuous "factory" furniture has been replaced with a stylish dressing room crafted from natural veneer, boasting ample storage sans extraneous doors. To complete the ensemble, the ceiling was thoughtfully adorned with rich wood accents.
